2/12/2010 Roger Hudson Greetings, I would like to congratulate the GM on his dedication to the arts. I will begin teaching his theories on empty hand knife/stick defense techniques to approximately 3,000 Federal Police Officers in one week. In addition, his book has been listed in my lesson plan as reference material. It took forever to accomplish this, but thanks to the GM teachings on never giving up and being patient, I will finally be able to share his teachings with a lot of good people. GM, thank you from the bottom of my heart and there is more to come, congrats!!!!!! Sincerely HAMA
1/30/2010 Frank Readd To Mr. Turner: I do not fight in bars but I would gladly face you in the MMA arena. I am not violent but I still like to compete. This dojo is my home. If you're interested leave me a message. -Francis Readd
1/30/2010 Ruben Torres What a pleasure it was to meet Grandmaster Andy Sanano and Master Richard Lundy. I have traveled to many countries and many states in this country for all sorts of martial arts events, and this year at the World Karate Union Hall of Fame I met these gentlemen, and I was impressed. First by the spirit that walks with them, their humility, sense of humor, kindness, then I got the opportunity to get on the floor and participate in a Seminar of Grandmaster Sanano. I noticed they had particpated in my seminar earlier that morning, and did not know who they were. The clean and precise articulation of the technique along with the applications and variations were great. This seminar was too short! Can't wait to see you again, Sir. My daughter, Dominga send her best wishes! Prof. Ruben Torres/KIDO RYU

1/27/2010 Roger Hudson Greetings all. Mr. Josh Turner, I mean no disrespect but we do not fight in bars because it is senseless. However, I do respect your opinion and hope that you understand that the majority of true Karetaka are not violent people. Thanks for your post. Sincerely Roger J. Hudson

3/13/2009 Roger Hudson Hey Richard, good to hear from you. I just sent Sensei an e-mail because I need to get some updated training on knife defenses for my job. Once I talk to him, I will have a better idea. I'm trying to get my training updates done before the kids get out of school for the summer. If I had to guess, I'd say sometime in the next couple of months. Take care and see you soon. Roger
3/10/2009 vijendra It can be problematic for a person to judge when it is the exact time to make an addiction intervention. It becomes a lot easier when somebody has the data to be prepared to see the signs. For example, naturally, when individuals start to be addicted to either drugs or alcohol, their behavior begins to vary, they sometimes spend massive amounts of their income to take drugs or alcohol, they don't communicate as well or as much with the people around them, etc. In recent times, professionals have felt that involuntary admission did not give wished success. That is why an intervention doesn't approve applying force to get people into rehabilitation. The goal of an intervention is individuals uniting to eliminate addicts’ dependency and making them face the reality that they require help. =========== tom ========== Drug Intervention Minnesota-Drug Intervention Minnesota

7/23/2008 Roger Hudson Good day everyone, I finally left Ohio and moved to Arkansas. I am still training police officers but on a much larger scale. This was a promotion for me and so far I love it. I hope to open a school and mainly focus on the sticks because I've been told there are no schools in the immediate area. Well, I guess I'd better do some work, take care, stay humble and keep practicing. P.S. Sesei thanks for the nomination, I am honored... Roger

2/2/2008 Roger Hudson Hello all, hope your doing well. I'm still here in Ohio working as police officer. As you can imagine, living in one of the top three most violent cities is definitely a challenge, but I'm up to the task. I had to take a moment to thank the "Grand Puba" for all his words of wisdom and outstanding teaching ability. I know I havent' met a lot of you, but you should know that patience and trusting the Grandmaster will take you a long way in both your personal and martial arts life. Well I'd better go and "fight crime and supress evil." Take care, and remember, Your mind is your most powerful weapon. Roger

10/13/2007 George Distor What modern technology has to offer nowadays is wonderful. My procedure went well and now recovering back in Guam. During my recovery in CA.,I recollected in the past, when I hesitatated to visit the Dr. for my annual exams because i thought I was strong and healthy. For the ones that think they are strong and healthy, I have news for you, there is a silent killer, heart disease and it can show up anytime. So I recommend to everyone to have your annual checkups, especially the ones getting up there in age, or should i say the challenged ones. Good luck to all!
10/2/2007 Darrell Blackfish Well i'm back after a very very very long break but now i'm ready i will see u when you come down DAKILANG GURO

9/16/2007 Bei Beidinger Sensi, Thanks for the help. You can expect some more calls in the near future. :)
9/12/2007 Richard Lundy George Distor, It is good to hear from you even thought your news is painful and scary. Good luck and thank you for the push. It's a good thing to keep going on the workouts and I have found that I must gear down and change how I eat. My Dad went through his heart trouble b/4 they knew ant of what they do now. I'm glad you are in good, modern care. Be good.
9/11/2007 George Distor Hello from California, This time I am here in California for a visit and see that some of the older students are having a hay day with their bodies. Bei, were you trying to impress some of those German Beauties or what. I would rather have your injuries than what I had to go through lately. I am here in Anaheim getting an angiogram and had a baloon and stint inserted into one of my main artery and man did it hurt so bad. Prior to that I was excersing on my bike and had a heart attack, which i though was just a heart burn and from there on, my health went downhill. So, all of you out there that are working out and taking care of your bodies, keep on going cause it can only help you in the long run. Do not stop for one moment and slack off on your regular training as this will be very helpful in staying healthy and most of all acquire what you can from Sensei while you still there training with him. Good luck to all.

8/21/2007 Richard Lundy It is a fine feeling to be a small part of such a truly great accumulation of martial arts people. In reading the entries, I see newcomers and veterans of the teaching of our Master Sensei and Friend. These last several entries include notes from many of you who have been so very helpful to me as my teachers. I humbly thank all of you for your skill, respectful ways to us students, your patience, your dedication, enthusiasm and mostly for your example to us.
8/11/2007 George Distor Hafa Adail to all from Guam. I commend all that have recently passed their tests. Keep up the good work and like Roger said, be humble and it will come to you. Congrats Roger, you are making great strides for yourself, and hopefully you can hire Andy to conduct seminars for your officers, maybe when I get back to the states, I will have to tag along, he can always use a good company and lots of laugh.
8/5/2007 Roger Hudson Hello everyone, hope all is well. I'm still in Ohio, but will be relocating to Little Rock, Ar in the near future. 4/1/2007 Amy Weikum The Williston Tournament went well. There were many clubs that came. Lots of kids ages 18 and down were there. Also a few adults too. They did very well that they were so good at most of their katas and sparring. Three martial art clubs from canada came to the tournament. All went well. We all had fun and all did very good work on all katas. As for I got 2nd place in traditional and creative and got 4th in musical kata. Hoping that there would be more martial art clubs could come to the tournaments. Hi Andy!

I know quit a few people aren't able to come now. Well hope all's go well to everybody.
9/15/2006 David @ School Hey Sensi! Geuss where I'm at! I think an addon that this site needs is a form. So that way we could talk about topics on martial arts, tournaments, or whatever we want. I think that'd be cool...if that coudl be added, then the Sanano community could have a Club to hang out on..
9/11/2006 Daniel J Nyffler Always thought about it but never acted upon so let it begin HERE I AM ONLY ONE PERSON IT WAS SAID THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE RESPECTFULLY LET THAT BE ANYONE.
8/17/2006 Richard Lundy Hey! Alan C. great to hear that you're still among the living! Where are you? Keep in touch. Also, several of us talked at Milwaukee about a weekend, or so, gathering in Rapid for training, exchange of ideas between schools and stuff. Can't forget "stuff." Anyone still interested? Say so. See you. Richard
8/17/2006 Richard Lundy Hey! Alan C. great to hear that you're still among the living! Where are you? Keep in touch. Also, several of us talked at Milwaukee about a weekeng, or so, gathering in Rapid for training, exchange of ideas between schools and stuff. Can't forget "stuff." Anyone still interested? Say so. See you. Richard
8/16/2006 Roger Hudson Hey Senesi, thanks for the pictures I really appreciate that. I plan on putting several of them up in the DOJO that will hopfully be opening at the end of the Month. I love the uniforms. I hope to have my own web site up an running soon as well. Take care and I'll see you soon Sensei. Humbly submitted Roger J. Hudson HAMA
8/12/2006 Alan Carroll Hello to all from a student from days past. It is wonderful to see the dojo has progressed so far and my old classmates have gone on to great things. I've been wandering through life and it is time to get back to basics. I might end up back where I started. Hi to Jason, Richard, Roger and especially Andy. Alan
8/5/2006 Roger Hudson Hello all, hope your doing well. I'm still here in Ohio. Sensei, the decison time has come. I have to let this guy know my intentions to open a DOJO by Monday. I'm leaning in favor of doing this, only because I was promoted to training officer at my job. As you are well aware, cops need a lot of training. I'll call you soon, we have a lot of paperwork to figure out. I have an idea, call me. To my fellow classmates. I hope you all are well. If I have any advice to give you, it would be to; establish a vision for your life and follow it no matter how things appear. I am also writing an article for the Nov 06 issue of FMA digest, so I have to get busy. I think Grandmaster Sanano deserves the sam recognition as the rest of the well known Grandmasters. If anyone has anything they would like to add to this article, please e-mail it to the following address: rhudson7585@sbcglobal.net. Please include pictures etc. Take care and god bless. P.S. Sensi, how about sending me an updated picture. Roger
7/24/2006 Amy Weikum The tournament was a good turn out. It was nice to see most of the people form the club. It was nice talking to some of you that I already have gotten know. Good luck and have fun with Andy he is an awesome instructor. I don't know what I would do without Andy. I have been with the club for four years. I really like the way Andy teaches the martial art that he does. I also enjoy learning new kata's from him. Hope Aaron Baum comes back and works out with you. It seems like he is really good at the martial art. He needs to keep it up or you can lose the feel of the art. But I guess you really don't lose it. Will see you guys later at the Bismarck tournament.
7/16/2006 David Henry Its just about been 4yrs now since I've join karate and I've really grown to enjoy hanging out at the dojo. And since I'll probably be going to college in Rapid (sounds like WDT, for now) I can at least enjoy another 4years of sweating at the dojo.
7/10/2006 Richard Lundy Hau, mitakolapi, Hello my friends, I'm still here on the REZ with my small crew of karate students. It's great to read your entries. Now that we have our own Dojo, our numbers of steady students are slowly growing. We're about 50/50 Native and non-Native. That's a biggie on the REZ since life here is very segregated and we don't see many people doing things together like this. The Dojo is inch-by-inch getting fixed up and is doing well. Pictures will follow in a few days. Thank you-all! Richard
6/20/2006 Tori Awesome teacher and class.
6/17/2006 Amy Weikum Andy the seminar was lots of fun today. Wished you could've stayed a little longer. I was getting into what we were doing today. Sure didn't want to stop. But I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go home sometime. Well thanks for the seminar today. You have a nice week. David if your on this site keep in touch. I had a great time doing sticks with you today. You helped me a lot. I concentrate better when you were their today for some odd reason. But I guess its just nice to have new faces show up. Have a nice week talk to you soon.

The only place I can find that is at 1019 Farlow Ave, SANANO KARATE CLUB. Take care and god bless.

4/8/2006 Aaron Knudson Andy, you were the most amazing instructor I have ever experienced. My dad Keith Knudson enrolled me when I was 13 (the age required to join then to follow in Marcus’s footsteps). You never accepted a weak attempt, and in doing so I developed discipline and grew in confidence in my ability. Thank you so much for helping form me in my youth. I hope to take my children to your dojo soon.
4/7/2006 Don "WHEELS" Sitters Sensei, Thank you for your hospitality last Tuesday at your Dojo, my appoligies for not being there on Thursday, I will see you next Tuesday at 6:00. Have a Blessed Weekend... WHEELS
4/6/2006 Jeff R. Herrold Sensei Sanano, I'm very impressed with all the success you have made and to where you've taken the dojo. I remember practicing front kicks on the bar booths when you first got the club, to becoming nationwide. I live my life after the teaching from you and raise my family from the same. You're a great teacher, father, and friend. Thanks for all you've done throughout my life. I started training again in 2000 and I'm testing for Shodan next month. Wish me luck! Love always, your son, Jeff. P.S.: Say hello to George and Joe for me.

1/26/2006 Keith Knudson Hi Andy, I am very proud to have you as a friend. I had better get up to see you. I am trying to remember I think I had the pleasure to meet you about 1972. Not sure any more. I know Marcus, Aaron, and Michelle remember you well, Thank you Andy for being a positive in my life. Your Friend Keith Knudson
1/5/2006 Frank Readd Amanda Cortez: We'd love to have you back. You know you can stop by anytime! I'm still waiting to help you and Chris out with your training. I have something I want to show you guys before I leave if possible... 348-7093
1/5/2006 Frank Readd Jason, I always wanted to have your abilities. You taught me about form and how to pay attention to detail. Your style is unique, powerful and awesome. You taught me about courage and intellect and I am very greatful for that! To this day your still the greatest kicker that I've ever seen. Thank you, Sensei.
1/5/2006 Frank Readd Roger, we need to spar sometime. I challenge you! Just kidding...but hey, you've inspired me to become a no-holds-barred fighter so that's what I've gotten myself into. When it came to heart you taught me all about it and it served me well when I was humping with a rucksack with weapon in hand while in the Army Infantry.
1/5/2006 Frank Readd Let me start by saying how much martial arts changed my life and I have Grand Master Sanano to thank for that. If it were not for him and my various instructors (you know who you are), I would not be as aware as I am today. Soon I will go back to school and train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Sioux Falls but believe me guys, Andy Sanano is the best around. I have excelled at Jiu-Jitsu and No-Holds-Barred fighting because of my training with him and will continue to expand my knowledge but my foundation is from him and I will never forget that. Because of my foundation I can slip into any style, anywhere. Andy gave me the gift of freedom in the martial arts world and not just him but all of my instructors. All of you have an imprint on my style...
1/3/2006 Alfred Hello Grandmaster Sanano. I'm attempting to locate one of your intructors: Francis Readd. If he's still around or if there's a way to contact him please pass these numbers to him. I've been trying to find him for about 5 years. Thank you. 210-559-9192, 210-434-9216
